American Moor is a 90-minute solo play written and performed by Keith Hamilton Cobb. What is the role of a lifetime? What is the role of a life? This intelligent, intuitive, indomitable, large, black, American male actor explores Shakespeare's Othello, race, and America... and not necessarily in that order. The play, written and featuring Mr. Cobb, is the exploration of one African-American actor¹s relationship with Othello, America, and Race, and how that translates into a pervasive sense of ³Otherness,² an immigrant in one¹s own land.
