From the stage of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, hosts David Tennant and Catherine Tate are joined by a staggering lineup of British talent for this once-in-a-lifetime multifaceted arts event. The evening features performances by a veritable constellation of stars: Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench, Joseph Fiennes, Ian McKellen, Helen Mirren, John Lithgow, Rufus Wainwright—as well as the Royal Ballet and the English National Opera.

Together, they mark the life and work of William Shakespeare on the 400th anniversary of the playwright’s death. This unique show celebrates the Bard’s extraordinary legacy and his enduring influence on all performance art forms: opera, jazz, dance, musicals, comedy, film and theater.
