The Class of 1961 Robert Frost Statue Contest

In the early 1990s, the Class of 1961 raised funds and retained sculptor George W. Lundeen to create a bronze statue of Robert Frost.  The finished statue was given to the College at the Class’ 35th reunion in 1996, and now sits in the College Park near Bartlett Tower.
The Class of ’61 will be celebrating its 55th reunion in June 2016.  In connection with the reunion, the class is sponsoring a contest to obtain the best artistic rendition of the existing Frost statue.  The contest will encompass the four disciplines of fine arts encompassed within the Studio Arts Department: Drawing (including pen and ink, pencil and/or charcoal), Painting (including oil and water color), Photography (including color and black & white), and Sculpture (including clay, plaster, metal and wood).
The contest is open to any enrolled student.
