This exhibition by POD Award recipients Margaret Bone and James Isles will be on view in the Jaffe-Friede Gallery from July 7 to Aug 16. An opening reception will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7.

James Isles:
My paintings enact a language that solidifies my relationship with my father. I engage with illusion, light, material, and perspective. I assimilate dimensional space through a reenactment in paint. Shifting forms proliferate in a space of ambiguity. Sculptural forms animate through an instability of parallax. A map to situate yourself within this world. The paintings are on an imagined plane. The forms move in the mind; they are an illusion. An uncertainty of existence within spaces creates guidance without representation.
Margaret Bone:
Margaret Bone is an artist from Nashville, TN, who received her BA in Studio Art from Dartmouth College in 2025. She is an interdisciplinary artist who primarily works in printmaking, textiles, and graphic design. Her work interrogates how femininity is mediated and archived, both physically and digitally.
