Special advance screening of the acclaimed new film about the pioneering founder of Apple Computer.
Free to the Dartmouth Community (alums welcome - Happy Homecoming)
A kind of Birdman for the tech sector, Steve Jobs follows its subject backstage in the frenetic moments leading up to a series of three highly publicized presentations. Ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, the film takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.
Michael Fassbender plays Steve Jobs, the pioneering founder of Apple, with Oscar winner Kate Winslet starring as Joanna Hoffman, former marketing chief of Macintosh. Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple, is played by Seth Rogen and Jeff Daniels stars as former Apple CEO John Sculley.
Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) directs with a script by Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin (West Wing), working from Walter Isaacson’s best-selling biography of the Apple founder. (D: Danny Boyle, US, 2015, 122m)
