Gina Adams, summer term ’18 Artist-in-Residence, read the broken "Treaty of Portsmouth, 1713." Combining performance with textile art made from antique quilts, the artist revisits broken treaties between the United States and Native American tribes. This event, organized by the Hopkins Center for the Arts as part of SHIFT, was originally planned to be at the Hopkins Center Plaza on Wed. June 27, 2018, but due to rain it was moved to the top floor of the HOP.
Gina Adams exhibition "Its Honor is Hereby Pledged: Broken Treaty Quilts" will be on view until July 22, 2018, in the Jaffe-Friede Gallery, HOP.
