Intern Exhibition: Kristin Winkle

Studio Art Intern Kristin Winkle's show Compound Bloom  is on display in the Barrows Rotunda from February 18 to March 20, 2020.

Compound Bloom
 
"The slow advance of mold across the taut and dappled surface of a
tangerine. Black fragrant loam in the garden.The interior beauty
of the body revealed as flesh changes states of matter. 
Liquification. The scent of honey. The subtle ridges of a 
fingerprint on a soft and flaking surface. A reclining nude.
The body as a blank surface ripe for projection 
The body as an ecosystem unto itself 
The body as an extension of the homes that surround us
Where does my living room end and my flesh begin? What sepa-
rates me from the furniture? A landscape of a different scale. 
Secrets buried in the linen closet."
