Call for Art - Juried Exhibition: Text and Texture

Text, though primarily used to convey language, has claimed a place in image-making and artwork. On the other hand, texture is not primarily "read" but tells a story with its own visual language and vocabulary. How does placing the language of both words and texture alongside one another push the boundaries of what is understood as legible, what can be read from a work of art?

Please send images or a proposal to jennifer.k.capriola.23@dartmouth.edu and leah.ryu.22@dartmouth.edu by October 14 (exhibition opening 11/3). Open to all students and mediums; this work need not have been completed in a studio art class.
