Call for submissions: digital pasts, ancient futures

The Anthropocene is commonly defined as the age of human intervention on earth; in two thousand years, what will be preserved of this era? Or in present time, how do contemporary artifacts weld the ancient with the supposed hyperfuturism of the present?

We want to see your artwork that confuses notions of time. How can art present the trappings of current life as "artifact," and/or situate the past as co-constructed by the present and future? This might include found-object work and digital work in particular.

As always, please send images of work or a proposal of work to be completed to jennifer.k.capriola.23@dartmouth.edu and leah.ryu.22@dartmouth.edu by April 1st. Open to all students and mediums; this work need not have been completed in a studio art class.
