Ninth Annual Victor C. Mahler '54 Webinar Lecture

In Search for New Spaces of Encounter

Jan Liesegang studied architecture in Berlin, Copenhagen and at the Cooper Union School of Architecture, New York. After graduating in Berlin, he worked for 3 years as project architect for Sauerbruch Hutton Architects. In 1999 he co-founded raumlabor, a collective of nine members who share a background in architecture. As architects, artists, performers, inventors and curators, they have tapped into different spaces of action. Today raumlabor works worldwide on contemporary architecture, urbanism, art and research. Since 2017, Jan has been professor for urbanism and architecture at the Bergen School of Architecture.
