She graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, with a BFA in 1991, and from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, with an MFA in 1995.  She was the grant recipient of the 2012 Pollock-Krasner Foundation, New York, NY, and the Best of Show, BAG Gallery, Brooklyn, NY in 2007. She had several one person and group exhibitions through out the East Coast and the rest of the Country.

Her personal statement:

“I am consumed by combinations of color and form as a visual, abstract diary of my life,
where time does not belong to me, but to others.

I am frequently organizing their things while they dance.
I am in a situation.”

Lucy is represented by Barney Savage Gallery and Big Town Gallery.
