An artist and activist, LaToya Ruby Frazier uses photography, video and performance to examine race, class, gender, environmental justice, family and communal history.

She is a 2015 MacArthur Fellow and teaches photography at the School of Art Institute of Chicago.

LaToya Ruby Frazier will present her lecture "Art as Transformation, Using Photography for Social Change" at the Loew auditorium in the Black Family Visual Arts Center, Wednesday February 5th, 2020 at 6:00pm. This is event is free and open to the public
