The Studio Art Department welcomes two visiting faculty members for the winter term.
Born in Poland, Viktor Witkowski lived in Germany, France, and throughout the U.S. before moving to Vermont where he teaches, makes art, and writes on Same Old Art. He earned a Master's Degree in Art Education, Art History and Studio Art from the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig (HBK Braunschweig, Germany) in 2006 and a MFA in Visual Arts from Rutgers University in 2010. Thomas Beale '00 is a New York-based artist and a graduate of the Studio Art program. Thomas works with found and reclaimed materials and transforms them into organic shapes. His sculpture Harlequin can be seen in Fairchild Hall. He spent 9 months in Japan for U.S.- Japan Creative Artist Fellowship, a grant administered by the National Endowment for the Arts.
