Christina Seely's show Dissonance will be installed in the Jaffe-Friede and Strauss Galleries from January 14 to March 8, 2020. She will give a public lecture on the work on January 14, 2020 in the Black Family Visual Arts Center's Loew Auditorium at 5:00 p.m. The exhibition Dissonance highlights works made since Professor Seely was hired as an Assistant Professor in the Studio Art Department at Dartmouth College.

While much of her work has been figurative, her recent paintings have been meditations on objects, specifically vessels, and the space and colors surrounding them.

Studio Art Intern Lucy Li's show the construction of a dream is on display in the Barrows Rotunda from October 26, 2019 to January 4, 2020. Dreamworld is a place created from what the mind collects from reality. Inspired by the scorched trees of the Sossusvlei, where time stands still, and by the natural landscape that surrounds me, this dreamworld is constructed by natural artifacts from the immediately familiar, assembled and reimagined into a new realm altogether.
